Walk of Double Shame
Mission 0 - Leaving the Blue Marble
Location: Deck 2 - Kelly's Quarters
Timeline: Day 2 - 0600 Hours
Logan sauntered along in the corridor with a casual gait as he contemplated what he'd say to Eli. Missy had been right: he just need to talk to her and air out his thoughts about things. Pursuing her wasn't the issue, he just didn't want to have it affect their professional relationship. He smiled to himself and took a sip of his refilled glass of Aldebaran whiskey, the liquid adding faintly to the great feeling his was enjoying. He unzipped his vest with his free hand as he made his way toward Eli's quarters. The alcohol might have started to affect his logical thinking as he pondered, Why can't I have the ship *and* the woman?
Eli has just left Jackson quarters, her service jacket still in her office but she had more uniforms in her quarters. The grin on her face was practically surgically implanted there. She had needed that release especially after trying to kill the Executive Officer and Logan. There was always Logan. He was on her mind more than she would like to admit. What bothered her the most was that she had no idea why. Looking up as she rounded the corner she couldn't help but grin. "What are the odds." she started siding up next to him. "I am assuming it is a coincidence that you are standing outside my quarters at this time of day." She grinned as she moved to open her door.
Logan, leaning against the bulkhead, arched an eyebrow over half-closed, contented eyes at the familiar voice and slowly turned his head to see the curved figure of Elizabeth Kelly swaying up to him. He took one last sip of the green liquid in the glass he held, swallowing fast as he gestured widely with his arm. "Well, if it isn't Lieutenant Kelly gracing me with her presence. You're up early..."
"Haven't slept..." She gave him a cheeky grin as she moved into her quarters grabbing the front of his coat as she moved to drag him with her. "Might as well get you out of the hallway before any skuttlebutt begins." She moved over to the replicator, "I see you already have a drink but is there something I can get you?"
The alcohol in his system was quite substantial at this point but he typically played it off well enough in most situations. He smirked as he was pulled inside, walking past her to sit on her couch. "No, thank you. I think I should call it quits for this ev... morning." He watched her lovely form as she moved about the room.
"You don't strike me as the getting sloshed in the early morning type of person." Eli grinned as she got a glass of water. Her bout with Jackson still leaving her parched. She moved to her couch where Logan had taken up residence and stood for a moment downing almost half of the glass before plopping down on the couch with about two feet between them. "You ok?" she asked with genuine concern.
He could smell the faintest whiffs of some scent that he had caught before someplace... It certainly wasn't woman's perfume. He couldn't help but grin at her, looking her up and down and pursing his lips as his eyes took in her hot mess appearance. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." He leaned forward toward her and added, "And I'm not the only one, apparently..."
"What can I say?" She replied playfully. "I get bored easily. You never know what a Sagittarius will do when we are bored." She drained more of her water before holding the glass in front of her simply watching Logan. "What are you doing here Logan? You made it pretty clear last time that you didn't want much to do with me."
The smirk didn't leave his face as the warm, tingly sensation flooding his body made him quite confident in everything he said, though the honesty probably should've been slowed down. "Are you serious? I didn't say that I didn't want anything to do with you. And as a matter of fact, I received really good advice to come down and just talk to you about it." He let out a long sigh and continued, "It hasn't..." He stopped himself from going on about his past and the loss of his wife and how he's just gotten comfortable with the idea of seeing women again and accepting her loss.
He shook his head. "It doesn't matter. I just came by to say that I wouldn't mind... seeing you again, sometime."
Eli watched him. A little shocked if she were being honest. "I, uh..." She started with a breathy laugh. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she did. She just couldn't help but wonder if it were the alcohol talking. "I think I would like that, although, we might have to wait until you are sober to ask me again." She grinned pushing him with her foot that she had pulled onto the couch with her. "But why the sudden change of heart?"
He made faint nodding gestures with his words that he normally wouldn't had he been totally sober. "Well, let's just say that... lots of ship captains isolate themselves from the crew and I totally understand that." His green eyes glanced at her eyes briefly. "But I'm not that kind of man." He slowly rose to his feet and curled an eyebrow at her. "And I just wanted you to know that... I'd like to see you again. No pressure... no obligations."
A toying grin crossed her lips as she watched him. With an almost feline grace she moved to stand near Logan. She ran a finger from his chest down the front of his jacket watching the travel of her hand for a moment before looking back up at him before she pushed him knocking him back onto the couch. Moving to put a knee on either side of him she rested her arms on his shoulder as she settled into his lap. She was a predator evaluating her pray. She looked him in the eyes before giving in and kissing him.
Logan closed his eyes at the first taste of her lips upon his, remembering what it was like before. His hands slid up her legs as they gripped him. Many thoughts began swimming in his foggy mind. Was this the right thing to do? Should he slow it all way down? His hands slid to her waist while one of them rubbed the small of her back. "This is nice... Though, aren't you working a duty shift today in... thirty minutes?"
Eli let out a frustrated sigh. "Yes..." She said a bit more breathy than she would have liked. "And I really need to take a shower." She grinned. "You should probably go..." She reluctantly stood back up. "We can continue this conversation when you are not drunk and I won't have to risk taking advantage of you." She smirked.
Logan got to his feet and let out a long sigh as his lazy eyes examined her closely. He smirked and then headed for the door and just as they hissed open and he stepped through he uttered, "My cologne is better..."
Eli simply shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, they both smell good on me." She replied as she moved towards her shower, peeling off her uniform as she went. She had less than half an hour before she had to report for duty and she did in fact smell like Jackson, that needed to be remedied.
